Medicine ceremonies call upon the spiritual powers of plants to produce deep and lasting change. A strong brew of the appropriate herb is taken in a ceremony which may last two to four hours. Sacred songs are sung appropriate to the spirits that work with that plant. Ceremonies are generally performed at night, which is more conducive to vision. There is often emotional release, realisations and the awakening of latent power. The following medicines are offered:

1. Yohimbe. A powerful sexual healer, it works on the unconscious, releasing entities and thought forms faster than anything known. During this ceremony, you will experience many cold winds rising and leaving the body, as entities are released from deep down. You often have realisations about how these thought forms have affected you as they are released. Entities are held at the base chakra, and are often at the root of sexual problems. They also create bad luck and attract many kinds of negative experience.

2. Muira Puama. Another sexual healer, but works more consciously. During this ceremony, you go through memories of traumatic relationships and childhood events that have led to negative conditioning, experiencing the emotions while being able to step back and look at the patterns that before you had no control over. By the end of the ceremony, all those patterns will have been healed.

3. Ayahuasca. Probably the most versatile healer, ayahuasca releases many suppressed emotions and all kinds of negative energy. It is quite purgative in its action, usually inducing vomiting, during which the body casts out any negative energy. Its spirit is intelligent and responds to your prayers, so that it will produce whatever kind of healing you pray for in the ceremony. It also gives visions. The experience lasts about four hours.

4. Mandrake. This is probably the most powerful plant medicine, and its effect is to take you deep into the core of your power. In the ceremony, you almost unconscious for an hour, as it takes you into a very deep state, and as you wake up you feel different, knowing that a very powerful healing has taken place. You feel stronger, more centred,confident and clear in your direction. You'll be in a quiet, inward space for the next 24 hours, during which your innermost power is surfacing. Mandrake is poisonous in large amounts and should only be taken with an experienced Shaman.

5. Dictamus. This is a gentle medicine that brings in the aid of positive spirits. After releasing all negative spirits, it is very useful to replace them with something positive, which will bring you good luck and support all your efforts.

6. Salvia Divinorum. A divinatory herb that is smoked to bring vision. In ceremony, it will release identities to give you the experience of being pure awareness, from which state you can permanently release whatever identities or beliefs no longer serve you. This makes it extremely transformative when used properly. Some training and guidance are needed for this. The whole experience is over within two hours.

7. Thornapple. The Astral projection plant par excellence. It will help you to leave your body and travel in Astral form to wherever you wish.
